Geoff Fox, a Midlands based ActionCOACH boosts fundraising efforts for Children with Cancer Charity
Business coaching franchise ActionCOACH has partnered with Children with Cancer UK to help raise money. Local coach Geoff Fox is running an online event for business owners called TeamRICH, on the 23rd September. All the proceeds will be donated to this life-changing charity. Business owners will learn how to get their team totally committed as employees achieve both the company’s goals and their own individual goals.
“By attending TeamRICH, you’ll learn valuable skills to grow your business, and contribute to Children with Cancer UK. The £100 workshop fee will go to give hope to children and young people diagnosed with cancer” said Geoff. Cliff O’Gorman, CEO at Children with Cancer said: “We’re so grateful for the fantastic support of ActionCOACH and their ongoing commitment to our fundraising. They share our mission to improve survival rates for children and young people diagnosed with cancer. The impact of this partnership is far-reaching as it will help us continue to fund vital, life-saving research.”
Sadly, Children with Cancer UK lost 40% of its funding in 2020 due to the pandemic. This had a big impact on both their research and welfare projects. They are the leading national children’s charity dedicated to the fight against childhood cancer. “I think everyone has been affected by cancer at some point in their lifetime,” said Julie Wagstaff, Co-founder of ActionCOACH UK. “But childhood cancers are particularly agonising to encounter. Twelve children in the UK receive a cancer diagnosis every single day. We’re determined to raise awareness and raise funds for a brighter future for the families affected. Children are the dreamers and entrepreneurs of the future, and that’s why we want to encourage businesses to get involved ”
Around 4,500 children and young people have cancer every year in the UK. It’s the leading cause of death in children and survivors can face a lifetime of serious health issues. The charity funds research for new therapies that are safer, kinder and with fewer toxic side effects. So far, the ActionCOACH UK network of 200+ coaches have raised over £27,000 for the charity, but they don’t want to stop there.

Ringing the bell is a moment for the whole family to celebrate – an opportunity to reflect on what’s been an emotional and physical journey, and to think about the future. The end of treatment bell inspires children with cancer to persevere and it brings hope for the future when things are tough.
